What does minifying remove?
Comments, line breaks, spaces around { } : ; , > and the last semicolon in each block. It also shortens #ffffff to #fff and 0px to 0. The rules themselves are not changed.
Is it safe?
Yes for normal CSS. Strings and url() values are left untouched. Keep the original file for editing: minified CSS is for serving.
Can it format minified CSS?
Yes: “Beautify” puts every rule and declaration on its own line with the indentation you choose.
