Frequently asked questions
How do I measure an L-shaped room?
Split it into rectangles, measure each one and add them as separate lines. The total is the floor area of the whole room.
How much extra flooring should I buy?
Usually 5–10% more than the area for cuts and waste, and 15% for diagonal layouts or patterned tiles. The waste field adds it for you.
How do square feet and square metres compare?
1 m² = 10.7639 ft², and 1 ft² = 0.0929 m².
