Speed, distance and time

Choose what to find, fill in the other two and get the speed, the distance or the travel time, and when you would arrive.

How it works

time = distance ÷ speedspeed = distance ÷ timedistance = speed × time

Worked example

  1. 320 km at 90 km/h
  2. 320 ÷ 90 = 3.56 hours
  3. 3 h 33 min

Frequently asked questions

What is the formula?

distance = speed × time. So speed = distance ÷ time and time = distance ÷ speed. Keep the units consistent: km with km/h, miles with mph.

How do I enter time?

As hours and minutes, for example 2 h 30 min. The result is shown both as h:mm and as decimal hours.

Does it include breaks?

No, it is moving time. For long drives add about 15 minutes for every two hours.
