Which voices can I use?
The voices installed on your device and browser. Chrome and Edge add natural-sounding online voices from Google or Microsoft; Safari uses the voices of macOS or iOS. The list shows what your browser offers.
Is my text sent anywhere?
The page itself sends nothing. Some browsers’ online voices (marked as such by the browser) use the browser maker’s speech service; pick a local voice to keep everything on your device.
Can I download the audio?
Browsers do not let a web page record their speech output, so the voice can be played but not saved as a file here.
